AT A GLANCE: This position has primary responsibility for executing all floor prep and warehouse functions. The role combines elements of physical labor, customer service, and teamwork and organization all while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store’s back-end processes. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Assemble Furniture: Build and assemble a variety of furniture pieces, such as tables, chairs, beds, cabinets, and shelving units, according to provided instructions and floor plans. · Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery (e.g., power drills, screwdrivers, etc.) to assemble and finish furniture. · Perform daily recovery of the showroom to identify and address any concern. · Partner with Sales and Visual Merchandising teams to support business needs. · Receive(unload) trucks. Store furniture items in the appropriate areas of the warehouse, following safety and organizational standards. · Move all furniture displays as directed. · Ensure that the stores are ready by completing the daily task list and merchandising displays standards. · Able to work in a fast-paced environment. · Responsible for cleanliness of the warehouse area and general store maintenance. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: · Basic tools of knowledge and use are required. · Previous furniture assembly & moving experience a plus. · Reliable transportation required. · Travel up to 25% within the market (1-2 days per week) · Ability to lift and move furniture (50lbs or more) and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, climbing, using a ladder, etc.) · Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions and procedures. · This position frequently communicates with the Retail and Management team and must be able to accurately exchange information in these situations.
