Nexus Therapy is now hiring for full-time special education teacher positions for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year! This position pays $58 per hour as a W2 employee of Nexus, with 7.5 hours per full shift worked (37.5 hours/week)! You would be working on-site with a great smaller, yet supportive district about 40 minutes outside of lovely Greenville, South Carolina. You'd be working with students in self-contained classroom for grades preK-5 or 6-8. Must be licensed as a special education teacher in the state of South Carolina. Check us out at nexustherapy.us For consideration, send a copy of your resume to hello@nexustherapy.us Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs - Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies - Utilize specialized teaching techniques and materials to accommodate the unique learning needs of students - Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment - Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed - Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to support students with challenging behaviors - Provide support during physical education classes to ensure the inclusion of all students - Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field - Valid teaching certification in Special Education in the state of South Carolina - Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations - Experience in implementing behavioral therapy techniques - Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $58.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday No nights No weekends Work Location: In person
