JOB SUMMARY: As a Clean-in-Place (CIP) Sanitizer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards within a manufacturing or processing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that equipment, pipelines, and production areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to industry regulations and company protocols Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00a - 6:30p OT as needed. Train on 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6:30a - 5:00p JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in food safety or industrial hygiene is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures. Strong mathematical skills. Must be able to read and follow written instructions in English. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Previous experience in CIP sanitation within a manufacturing or processing environment. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their properties, and safe handling practices. Understanding of regulatory requirements related to sanitation in the relevant industry. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute CIP procedures to clean and sanitize processing equipment, valves, pumps fillers and other components in accordance with established protocols. Follow strict hygiene and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and maintain product integrity. Prepare and handle cleaning and sanitizing solutions, ensuring accurate concentration and proper usage of cleaning agents. Maintain detailed records of CIP activities, including cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and any deviations from standard procedures. Complete required documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Conduct regular inspections of CIP systems and equipment to identify and address any issues that may affect the cleaning process. Work closely with Supervisors to determine equipment and sanitation needs. Identify opportunities for process improvement in CIP procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices. Complete other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights, if necessary. Expected to be on one's feet for extended durations in a production setting and/or engaged in desk work on a computer for prolonged periods. Capable of performing duties in environments with varying temperatures, including high and low extremes, as well as in noisy conditions Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical raw materials or ingredients is possible. Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
