Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and be capable of working on various types of industrial equipment, including tractor-trailers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively troubleshoot and repair diesel engines while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting electrical systems and HVAC components. Utilize schematics to understand and resolve complex mechanical issues. Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely, including cranes for lifting and suspending parts during repairs. Conduct routine maintenance checks on trucks and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance. Replace shocks, struts, and other suspension components as needed. Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly after use. Qualifications Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong understanding of heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with schematics and the ability to read technical manuals is essential. Experience working with power tools and industrial equipment is required. Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to lift heavy components safely and effectively as part of daily tasks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role. A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job responsibilities.
