Full time Urgent Care Veterinarian - New Opportunity + Superior Salary - Sarasota, FL A partner hospital is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team in Sarasota, FL . The ideal candidate will have a DVM degree and experience in emergency medicine . Position Highlights: Flexible Schedule with Swing/Second Shift opportunities. ONLY Urgent Care – no wellness services. No abdominal surgeries performed. Fear-Free Approach and Feline Friendly Practice . Brand new, modern hospital with state-of-the-art facilities . Strong technical team and clinical support . Key Responsibilities: Provide emergency care to animals in urgent need. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and emergencies. Administer medications , fluids, and other treatments. Perform surgery as necessary to stabilize patients. Maintain accurate medical records . Collaborate closely with the veterinary team to ensure optimal patient care. Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach and maintain strong community ties within the Sarasota area. Encourage the growth of support staff members through internal training and mentorship programs. Qualifications: DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program). Experience in emergency medicine preferred, but open to all experience levels, including new graduates. Active state license in good standing to practice in Florida (or the ability to obtain). Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.
