Job Summary
Assists in the implementation of new supply chain systems and the maintenance and management of current supply chain systems. Helps align business requirements to system capabilities and leads assigned system projects. This person may at times act as a liaison between technical and functional users. Participates with departmental staff and Centralized Purchasing on refining operational processes to maximize system functionality. Subject expert in the creation of requisitions and purchase orders. Assists in system documentation and develops and teaches functional user training for all Supply Chain Management staff and Hospital end users.
Required Qualifications
- Require an Associate's degree in business administration or related field; relevant experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the degree.
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of supply chain experience and one (1) year of systems related experience, preferably in the health care industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer demonstrated functional knowledge of supply chain systems and processes, preferably PeopleSoft knowledge.
- Prefer the ability to work under pressure and multi-task effectively.
- Prefer proficiency in the advanced use of computer software and database queries in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PSQuery, etc.).
- Prefer proven ability to work as a team member.
- Prefer proficiency in project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize or re-prioritize a variety of duties.
- Prefer the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Prefer the ability to take initiative, work with little supervision, and solve problems independently.
