Accounts Payable Lead
We are working with an excellent client who are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Lead! This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements while implementing best practices to optimize workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounts payable processes, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments. This position is perfect for someone tech-savvy who enjoys automation and process improvement!
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the AP Team: Lead a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and growth.
• Invoice & Payment Processing: Supervise the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals, coding, and compliance with company policies.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving discrepancies and payment issues in a timely manner.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation of accounts payable functions.
• Month-End Close: Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts payable transactions, including accruals and reporting for month-end close.
• Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, accounting, and finance teams to streamline workflows and improve overall financial processes.
• System Management: Oversee the AP system, troubleshoot issues, and recommend software improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AP software, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.), and Microsoft Excel.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve invoice discrepancies and process inefficiencies.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, leadership, and internal teams.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
