Calibration Technician
Our organization is accepting resumes for a talented Calibration Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this role has experience calibrating instruments and equipment, creating calibration plans, and maintaining calibration records. A successful candidate can prioritize tasks, adhere to company policies, and maintain proper documentation. The ability to calibrate various primary-level torque applications is preferred. Positions are currently available on the 2nd shift (3:00 - 11:30 pm) or the 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Training will be on 1st shift for 4-8 weeks.
Roles And Responsibilities
The torque technician is responsible for providing quality assurance support in the areas of torque calibration, torque auditing, tool repairs, and maintenance. Some of the duties of the torque technician are (but not limited to):
• Calibration of torque instruments.
• Update the status of torque locations and conditions in the gaging module.
• Assists with customer service, and walk-ups.
• Performs minor tool repairs.
• Replace Torque Equipment due for certification with current calibrated tools.
• Provide troubleshooting and assistance for online calls.
• Responsible for tracking certifications, cert due, and past due Torque equipment.
Qualifications And Skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Good arithmetic skills are required.
• Mechanical aptitude desired.
• 2+ years of Quality Control experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of measurement instruments: i.e., calipers, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, etc. a plus but not required.
• General proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Equipment/Tools
Qualified candidates may have experience using pneumatic pulse tools, hand-held wrenches, direct drive torque equipment, and other various torque applications.
