Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Landscape Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting, to ensure the successful execution of landscape construction projects.
2. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of skilled professionals, including landscape designers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to achieve project objectives within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
3. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials, equipment, and services required for each project, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
4. Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all aspects of the construction process meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays during the construction process, including addressing environmental and safety concerns.
6. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or issues promptly, and ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded.
7. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets closely, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and codes governing landscape construction projects, maintaining documentation and records as required.
9. Upsale – Identify areas for change orders to improve the product delivered to the client and add additional revenue to the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera, for planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards governing landscape construction, including environmental and safety guidelines.
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials preferred.
