Senior Manager, Accounting Services
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Outsourced Accounting Services to play a key role in delivering accounting solutions to a growing portfolio of small business and high-net-worth clients. This is a highly visible, client-facing position where you will act as a trusted advisor, leading the accounting function and reviewing monthly financials. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong QuickBooks Online experience who thrives on building relationships with business owners.
*This role is remote in Greenville South Carolina with flexible hours (30 hours minimum).
Essential Duties & Functions
• Lead client-facing meetings, including onboarding new clients and conducting monthly financial reviews.
• Oversee and manage the monthly closing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform quality control reviews of bookkeepers.
• Interpret and analyze financial statements, providing actionable insights to clients.
• Review financial results directly with business owners and offer consultative advice.
• Monitor client cash flow and help identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in budgeting processes, supporting clients in setting and managing financial goals.
• Oversee accounts payable and bill payment processes.
• Manage accounts receivable and invoicing functions.
Qualifications
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• Proven experience working with multiple clients and/or multiple industries
• Based in or near Upstate SC, and open to periodic travel for in-person client meetings.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (certification a plus).
• 2+ years of experience in small business bookkeeping; minimum 7 years of accounting experience
• Client-service mindset with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
