Mechanical Engineering Manager
Role Summary
Card-Monroe Automation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our team of talented engineers at our Greenville, SC facility. This person will lead and direct all mechanical engineering functions in support of delivering custom automated systems to our customers, while working in a dynamic, fast paced, and highly collaborative project environment.
Responsibilities
• Build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Support the technical and personal growth and development of the mechanical team.
• Allocate resources to achieve project objectives, related to scope, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop design standards and efficient work processes, in alignment with our ISO-9001 quality management system.
• Oversee project designs to reduce risk, rework, and cost, while achieving design specifications.
• Estimate and forecast engineering labor and material costs for new opportunities and existing projects.
Must Haves
• Experience in the specification, design, and delivery of automated systems.
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and PDM.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, drive systems, electric actuators, servos, robotics, etc.) and shop manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly).
Other Requirements
• At least 5 years of leadership and managerial experience.
• Knowledgeable about automation systems, including sensing and positioning, conveyance, motion control, guarding and safety systems.
• Up to 15% travel to customer sites or other CMA locations.
