Job Summary:
• The Entry Level Industrial Engineer will support the design, implementation, and improvement of processes that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance across our supply chain operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None
Primary Duties:
• Analyze warehouse layouts, workflow, and material handling systems to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in designing and implementing efficient storage and distribution systems.
• Collect and analyze operational data (e.g., productivity, cycle time, inventory levels) to support decision-making.
• Develop time studies and work measurement tools to establish labor standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and IT to streamline logistics processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other industrial engineering methodologies.
• Help with the implementation and testing of new systems or technologies (e.g., WMS, automation tools).
• Create and maintain clear documentation for procedures, reports, and performance metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management System functionality
• Good computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Education/Certifications/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years’ experience
• Experience with lean or other continuous improvement tools preferred.
• Experience in a 3rd party logistics company a must.
Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods standing, walking, or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
