Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a skillset in industrial manufacturing and a strong understanding of various quality control methods. The successful candidate will work closely with the supply chain team and collaborate across different departments to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities • Work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Utilize knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and components.
• Employ quality analysis tools such as 8D, SPC, PFMEA, and others.
• Teach basic problem-solving techniques and facilitate problem-solving team events.
• Develop part certification processes (PPAP) and vendor quality measures.
• Apply fabrication-based quality control methods, tools, and techniques.
• Conduct engineering analysis, as well as data analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Work within and across different departments to enhance quality management systems.
Essential Skills • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency in quality analysis tools such as 8D, SPC, PFMEA, and others.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to teach and facilitate team events.
• Experience in developing part certification processes (PPAP) and vendor quality measures.
• Knowledge of fabrication-based quality control methods, tools, and techniques.
• Strong engineering analysis, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Experience working with suppliers and quality management systems.
• Team collaboration and working within different departments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or Test Engineering.
• Experience with implementing a new quality management system is a plus.
Work Environment You will be the 5th member of a team that spans the quality and manufacturing departments. You will primarily work on the manufacturing floor, closely collaborating with the supply chain team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
