We are looking for an Industrial Safety Technician to join the team with a large manufacturing company in Taylor, South Carolina!
Job Summary:
The Industrial Safety Technician will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments in manufacturing and production areas.
•
Assist in developing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
•
Investigate workplace incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
•
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
•
Maintain and inspect safety equipment, including PPE, fire prevention systems, and emergency response tools.
•
Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels.
•
Assist with hazard communication programs, including SDS management and chemical safety.
•
Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
•
Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications:
•
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
•
Experience: 2+ years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in a steel or manufacturing environment.
•
OHST or CSP preferred
•
Knowledge of OSHA standards, safety best practices, and industrial hygiene.
•
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify workplace hazards.
•
Excellent communication and training skills.
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
•
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
