Manager, Inpatient Social Work
Job Description:
Manages the clinical psychosocial process as performed by the Social Workers for patients with complex psychosocial and case management needs.  Ensures the provision of social work services to patients and families to optimize their ability to benefit from treatment, cope with the adjustment and understanding of their medical condition, participate in their care goals. Ensures team members assessments and interventions are completed timely to create a safe and sustainable discharges.  Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with liaisons from local, state, and federal services that may provide resources to patients and families and determines resource connectivity opportunities for escalation and continued program development. Interviews applicants, makes recommendations for hiring and salaries for new employees; completes performance appraisals in a timely manner. Provided coaching, counsels and disciplines employees as needed. Coordinates staffing and provides clinical supervision to staff social workers.  Designs learning, delivers training, and facilitates organizational change.  Measures and evaluates impact of education, and contributes to the improvement of human performance.  Participates in management of the learning function, staff coaching, career planning, talent management, and managing organizational knowledge.  Leads programs or workgroups and provides internal organizational development consulting.  Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (C.S.W.E.) accredited college or university social work program.

Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida.
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health care facility or program, with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
