Job Summary
This leader plans, develops and directs the activities of the departments or divisions. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring successful completion of department and division projects and responsibilities in support of organizational goals. This leader serves to bring the medical and counseling service areas together with the goal of improving integration and coordination across the departments or divisions. Leader will direct clinical operation activities for multiple areas of the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute. Manages a large team typically consisting of both experienced professionals and managers. Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short to midterm focus; significant responsibility to achieve broadly stated goals through managers. Determines objectives, directs programs, develops strategies and policies, manages human, financial, and physical resources, and functions with a high degree of autonomy. Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project or program teams. Proactively assesses risk to establish systems and procedures to protect organizational assets. Determines campus strategies for a program with institute wide impact.
Required Qualifications
- Require seven (7) years of experience in related field with a minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership and management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer the ability to interact and interface with all levels of staff and senior management.
- Prefer demonstrated fiscal responsibility and the ability to prepare operating and capital expense budgets and financial reports.
- Prefer expert communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prefer the ability to work independently and in groups to achieve established goals and objectives.
Mandatory Education
MSN: Masters of Science Nursing
Required License and Certs
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
