Job Summary
This leader has operational accountability and oversight, and manages daily activities of the department. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior while ensuring team work, tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. This leader manages the planning, organization, program development and implementation of the overall project management and financial growth initiatives at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute. Leader will serve to enhance target market share, generate additional revenues, and preserve existing competitive strengths, while working closely with service line leaders to achieve strategic goals and support the programs, positions and interests of the department and organization. Leader monitors project progress, setting deadlines, managing project budgets, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, and evaluating project performances. Leader will provide clear communication, demonstrable strategic thinking, and engaged problem solving to both internal and external constituents.
Required Qualifications
- Require Bachelor degree in business, hospital administration, health care administration or related field.
- Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience in business development, financial management, project management and/or program planning. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration can substitute for required years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer a high degree of technical/analytical ability and strategic thinking in the development of business and/or program-level plans for the organization, including experience implementing complex processes & solutions, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prefer demonstrated computer experience with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prefer previous experience in hospital industry or in a related health care industry setting.
- Prefer strong organizational, presentation, consultative and written/verbal skills.
- Prefer demonstrated experience with project management tools, philosophies, and modalities.
