Job Summary
Plans, implements, evaluates and oversees the total staff development program of orientation and in-service education in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Works in conjunction with the leadership team to identify and prioritize learning needs, develop and implement plans to address needs and evaluate outcomes of interventions, with a focus on quality, safety and staff development. Assumes the role of facility Infection Control Coordinator and Abuse and Neglect Officer.
Required Qualifications
- Require one (1) year of experience in Long Term Care Facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer expertise in clinical skills, computer skills, adult education and other fields as appropriate.
- Prefer demonstrated teaching, management, communication and evaluation skills.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Prefer demonstrated current knowledge of infection prevention practice and guidelines.
- Prefer demonstrated clinical expertise and current knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding abuse/neglect, facility policy and procedures, and OSHA.
- Prefer demonstrated interviewing techniques and knowledge of all aspects of recruitment, retention, hiring, background screening and workers compensation.
Mandatory Education
BSN: Bachelor of Science Nursing
Preferred Education
Required License and Certs
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
