HR Coordinator
Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator to join the firm’s expanding Human Resources department in our Greenville, South Carolina office. The HR Coordinator will handle various administrative duties, such as record-keeping, data entry, and supporting HR programs and initiatives. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of the HR department and delivering high-quality HR services to employees.
Essential Functions
• Update and maintain accurate employee records and ensure data accuracy and integrity in the HR information system
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees and managers, answering employee inquiries and concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
• Process new hire paperwork, conduct pre-employment screening, and assist in the coordination of onboarding activities
• Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs, and direct inquiries to the appropriate HR team member as needed
• Support HR projects, including research and data analysis, contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures
• Assist with the distribution of HR-related communications, including but not limited to HR announcements, benefit updates or policy updates.
• Assist with HR reporting as needed
• Assist with other HR-related tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience in the Human Resources field
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong administrative skills, including record-keeping, and data entry
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and programs, with a basic understanding of employment laws and regulations
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise messages and interact with employees at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, HR information systems, and other relevant software applications.
• Customer service-oriented with a positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other HR team members
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
• SHRM-CP
