Production Control Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides the facility and internal customers with an accurate schedule and work orders to be processed.
• Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department tasks and schedule.
• Works daily on the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) report in the ERP system for supply/demand shortages on internal work orders.
• Actively drives the facility and production to begin and complete orders on time.
• Manages the work order release queue to release orders on schedule.
• Monitors expiring material in inventory to mitigate schedule impacts.
• Coordinates with the purchasing department on material shortages and/or materials with lead time to ensure orders are scheduled appropriately and material arrives as scheduled.
• Reviews open sales order constraints and works with other departments to get a status update.
• Communicate with other departments on shortages, errors, and/or accuracy of part's demands until resolved.
• Assists other departments with work order inquiries and requests.
• Collaborates with the quality and production departments for periodic process testing and personnel qualification requirements.
• Attends the daily Material Review Board (MRB) meeting and completes all actions assigned to production control.
• Keeps WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and provide documentation to their internal customer.
• Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
• Present for the weekly meeting with engineering and purchasing to discuss current or forecasted impediments.
• Follow safety protocols, identify and communicate any possible safety concerns.
• Comprehend and work to the requirements of applicable department and company work instructions and operating procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or 1+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Security Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2
• Preferred - Experience in Aerospace production or manufacturing.

Physical Demands / ADA Compliance Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to telephone, mouse, and keyboard. The ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others will understand is required. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
