Job Summary
Responsible for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety. Supports education initiatives of the pharmacy department through participation in residency programs, student-based services, and other training programs. Responsible for assisting with all aspects of the PGY-2 pharmacy residency including financial, regulatory, educational, and clinical. Mentors, develops, and evaluates pharmacy residents as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Require active Florida Pharmacy license. If no active Florida Pharmacy license must be registered as a Pharmacy Intern in the State of Florida and have an active Florida Pharmacy license within three (3) months of hire.
• American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) PGY1 certificate (requirement for residency program).
• Require PGY2 Residency Program Director eligibility as outlined by ASHP requirements.
• Require obtaining a level 2 AHCA clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer Board Certification in specialty area.
• Prefer relationship with a college of pharmacy as an adjunct or associate professor or other comparable professional qualifications.
• Prefer five (5) years of recent, applicable institutional practice experience, including three (3) years in a pharmacy leadership position, or other comparable professional qualifications and/or skills.
• Prefer excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, as well as experience with clinical program development and/or clinical management skills.
