Registration Rep Lead
Job Summary
The Registration Rep Lead is responsible for assisting the patient through the pre-registration process to ensure outpatient procedures are screened based on assigned payors, missing or incomplete information is obtained, and insurance eligibility is verified while assisting the patient obtain pre-certifications, referrals, and authorization for patient visits, as well as, provide assistance to leadership in a lead representative capacity.
Required Qualifications
• Require three (3) years of experience in a healthcare related field or customer service environment.
• Require Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification (must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date into position).
• Require experience in patient interviewing.
• Require flexibility for weekend, holiday, and other shift work as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer experience in and understanding of customer service role.
• Prefer ability to promote and role model excellent customer service.
• Prefer the ability to collect post and balance cash.
• Prefer the ability to work with and effectively communicate (both verbally and written) with a diverse work force in all levels of the organization.
• Prefer general knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.
• Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Mandatory Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
