Greif offers a great working environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact at a company where your ideas are always welcome.Job Requisition #:030522 Electrician B (Open)Job Description:Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution.Performs PLC programming, troubleshooting and program documentation.A strong understanding of our equipment and the systems and processes.The ability to quickly troubleshoot, diagnose and solve electrical and process control issues is crucialMaintain effective communication with team members, other departments and management to report on progress, issues and resource requirement needs.Ability to handle unexpected issues and adapt to changing circumstances is vital in day-to-day mill needs.Work within a team environment to efficiently prioritize and complete tasks to minimize downtime.Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the maintenance department. A commitment to ongoing learning and process improvement.Work Duties include execution of electrical and controls repair duties.Repairing and replacing process control and electrical equipment (valves, transmitters, communication networks, DCS, wiring medium and low voltage, running conduit, etc.).Familiar with the National Electric Code Safety, OSHA electrical safety.Trained in Mill Electrical Safety Work Practices, electrical safety requirements and procedures, as well as Arc Flash safety equipment and proceduresAdheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools.Adheres to all plant safety policies. Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Minimum of 3 to 5 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment preferredAssociates Degree in the Electrical field preferred.  Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.Possesses basic troubleshooting experience and proven skills in machine repair.Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.Welding, machining and fabrication experience a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.#L1-TC1Protect Yourself From Scams: We value the integrity of our recruitment process and prioritize the well-being of our candidates.
