The opportunity: HOYT ARCHITECTS is looking for a smart, talented, organized individual to manage basic administrative tasks for the design studio. This position might be filled by an experienced professional or a graduating college senior looking for a dynamic position in a highly creative environment.
Firm description: HOYT Architects is an architecture and urban design studio committed to creating vibrant walkable cities. The firm’s expertise ranges from large-scale mixed-use developments down to the rich variety of uses including retail, restaurants and entertainment destinations that create successful urban environments. The studio also engages the “public realm” through its design of quality streets, sidewalks, and parks.
HOYT’s portfolio includes some of the most memorable projects in Sarasota: Patriot Plaza, Ed Smith Stadium, Selby Library, and the Municipal Auditorium. HOYT’s work ranges from high rise luxury condominiums to affordable housing, and from non-profit work for Easterseals, Children First, and Boys and Girls Clubs, to high-end shopping and entertainment venues like Ocean Prime, Sugar Champagne Bar, and Dimmitt Automotive.

Responsibilities
• Prepare project contracts (AIA and Proposify).
• Organize responses to RFPs and RFQs.
• Perform various writing, editing, and proofreading tasks.
• Assist with the website content.
• Manage office reception functions.
• Schedule meetings.
• Oversee management of the studio area.
• Manage suppliers.
Requirements And Skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with discretion and tact.
• Ability to work with a large, diverse group of creative professionals.
• Knowledge of the architectural design process is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with abilities and qualifications. Eligibility for annual holiday bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance. A retirement savings plan is also available.
