Englewood Animal Health Center is located in beautiful Englewood, Florida. We are a full- service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs, cats, and some exotics/pocket pets. We welcome pet patients in need of preventative medical, surgical, and dental care. We also offer in-house boarding and grooming. We are seeking a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to lead by example and help with growing the team! When you join our organization as a Veterinary Technician, you gain access to a peer network of over 5000 individuals, CE allowance, and Learning & Development programs to help you meet your career goals.
• Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis
Position Requirements
• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology
