Job Summary
The Simulation Education Technician assists the Center for Simulation and Innovation (CSI) with activities surrounding simulation learning events. Works closely with the Simulation Program Coordinator and various faculty to produce high quality educational activities. Sets up, operates, and maintains the technical aspects of simulation equipment used in training programs, including patient simulators, task trainers, and related audiovisual systems, ensuring the smooth delivery of realistic scenarios for healthcare professionals to practice and learn. Programs simulation scenarios, troubleshoots technical issues, maintains equipment inventory, and collaborates with instructors to design effective simulation experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Require Associate degree from an accredited college or technical school in a health or technology related field. Relevant work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
- Require minimum of three (3) years of experience in a clinical health care field or educational environment.
- Require American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer bachelor's degree in technology or health-related field.
- Prefer licensure, certification or training in a health-related field, such as emergency medical technician, paramedic, or other allied health profession.
- Prefer experience in instructing Basic and/or Advanced Life Support training.
- Prefer experience in simulation operations and training.
- Prefer proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and other computer platforms.
- Prefer ability to work independently and as part of a team.
