We primarily manufacture and overhaul components for the transit industry (subway and commuter rail). As a member of Transtech, you will be responsible for Coordinating AP and AR processes.Collaborate with the operations team to set financial goals that align with the company's mission and business plan, regularly monitor financial performance and provide reports to management to support decision-making and address any issues in the accounts payable and receivable processes promptly to minimize disruptions to operations.What do we want to know about you? Bachelor’s degree required, Bachelor of science in Accounting or Business management. Certifications in accounting or finance can be beneficial.Accounting Experience: At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a high-volume environment.Software Proficiency: Experience with Oracle and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Problem solving profileAttention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and documentationAnalytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and workflow processesWhat will your typical day look like? Essential Duties and Responsibilities: hybrid schedule (It requires to be on site at least three times a week – Tuesday to Thursday)Invoice Processing: Review and process invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.Payment Processing: Schedule and prepare payments, ensuring timely disbursement to vendors.Customer Billing: Generate and send invoices to customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances with the general ledger.Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies or disputes with vendors and customers.Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues.Aging Reports: Prepare and analyze aging reports to monitor outstanding receivables and payables.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.Other duties as needed.What about the Physical demands?The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
