Job Description:
- Work with adult to geriatric patient populations
- Care for patients admitted from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and ED
- Manage post-op CABG, thoracic surgeries, and vascular surgeries
- Handle respiratory failure cases with multiple treatment modalities except invasive mechanical ventilation
- Care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, GI bleed, trauma, CVA, seizures, CIWA, metabolic disorders, renal failure, GI disorders, hypertensive emergency, sepsis, and neuro disorders
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-4 within a 32-bed unit with an average daily census of 21
- Utilize Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPap, and CPAP systems
- Wear navy blue scrubs
- Work required holidays depending on the duration of the assignment; holidays include New Year's Eve and Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Day
- Participate in orientation with 13 hours of non-billable modules completed during this time
- Float within the facility as required
- Compliance with mandatory job requirements is crucial for an on-time start
