Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This is a semi-skilled part time position at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island operating buses. The work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of vehicular equipment and usually involves some equipment maintenance duties and other semi-skilled work relating to the equipment and building maintenance activities. Employees will receive definite and detailed instructions from a supervisor at the time of appointment. The work is performed according to established procedures with frequent daily inspections.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
• Experience in the operation of bus or truck; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Physical Demands
Sitting for long periods of time and occasional light lifting in an indoor and outdoor environment.

Drive bus with students to and from field study sights.

Some driving on occasion to local schools to pick-up or drop-off local day groups.
