Position: Childcare Cook Location: Little Sprouts Learning Center, Piedmont, SC Type: Part-Time About Us: Little Sprouts Learning Center is a Christian-based childcare facility dedicated to nurturing children aged 6 weeks to 4 years in a safe, loving, and educational environment. Our team is passionate about helping children grow and thrive through age-appropriate learning and care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Childcare Cook to join our team and play a vital role in providing nutritious meals for the children in our care. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to our 4-week rotating menu. Ensure all meals meet the center’s nutritional and allergy guidelines (e.g., peanut-free). Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to DSS, ABC, and DHEC regulations. Follow food safety and sanitation practices, including daily cleaning and sanitization of kitchen equipment. Keep inventory of food supplies and report any shortages to management promptly. Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences as communicated by parents. Work collaboratively with staff to ensure mealtime runs smoothly and efficiently. Qualifications: Previous experience in meal preparation, preferably in a childcare or educational setting. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow recipes and prepare balanced, nutritious meals for children. Positive attitude and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must pass background checks and health assessments as required by DSS and DHEC.
