Senior Accountant Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant will provide support by managing accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits. RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate accounting experience, including assisting in the month-end close process, journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing variances. Produces accurate daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Manage Fixed Assets schedules, documentation, and entries. Prepare Annual Tangible Property tax forms. Reconcile and analyze intercompany activity. Conduct financial analysis as needed as well as trend analysis, and monitored/reported sales activity. Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by the Controller. Assists with preparation for audits. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting software -QuickBooks. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel Pivot Tables. Advanced Excel skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Three years or more of related experience required. This is not a remote position. Why Join BPE? Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 a year
