Job Summary: A Team Member in the Quality Assurance Technician position will complete and document quality control audits, monitor adherence to USDA regulations verifying HACCP and SSOP task while enforcing GMP’s. Individuals must be able to assure pertinent, accurate and timely collection of data from all processes in the plant to aid operations in decision making, as well as, be continuously striving for improvement. This job will include duties that range from food safety verifications to process capability studies. The QA Technician will perform inspections, audits, testing activities to ensure continuous control over personnel, materials, facilities equipment, to ensure food safe and quality of products get delivered to our customers. Assure pertinent, accurate and timely collection of data from all processes in the plant to aid operations in decision making as well as, continuously striving for improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Complete and document primal and sub-primal quality control audits including weights, measurements, and visual assessments · Release or retain product based on audit results, including informing production supervision · Monitor adherence to USDA regulations by monitoring and verifying HACCP and SSOP tasks · Perform monitoring and verification tasks prescribed in HACCP and SSOP plans, including monitoring and enforcing employee hygiene behaviors · Complete other QA inspections including but not limited to boneless meat inspections, ambient and product temperature monitoring, Xray and metal detector function checks, chemical concentration verifications, inspection of packaging materials, animal handling audits, process, and procedural verifications · Communicate and document process and product requirements, including development and maintenance work of instructions and finished product specifications · Provide quality related training to co-workers and production personnel · Perform job specific work instructions; updates procedures and forms according to document control policies · Perform product and process audits, report status and monitor through resolution · Maintain equipment and in sanitary manner and in accordance with applicable guidelines · Assure label approvals, verifications, and compliance · Assure communication, resolution and documentation of process and procedural deviations in a timely manner · Assure compliance with regulatory requirements and plant policies, including HACCP related activities, GMP and SSOP’s · Perform product attribute and sensory evaluations according to finished product specifications · Monitor and resolve product and process deviations related to SSOP’s, NR’s, Product Complaints, and Non-conforming product and ensure accurate documentation to the corrective action log. · Cross train, perform and fill in as needed for technicians, other specialist, and lab analysis · Conduct and participate in informing gathering, problem solving, data collection, analysis, reporting and communication · Provide leadership and communication from front line to middle management · Monitoring product and material and material inventories to assure compliance with established guidelines · Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to QA Management · Comply with client requirements when applicable · Follow policies and procedures, complete administrative tasks correctly and on time and support organization’s goals and values · Meet productivity and quality standards, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, completing work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity while looking for ways to improve and promote quality · Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly · Maintain reliable attendance, reporting to work on time as scheduled; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent Training Schedule: Day Shift Actual Shift: 2:00 - 10:30PM Hourly Pay: $20 Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $19.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
