Babe’s Plumbing is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with a deep understanding of job costing, financial planning, and compliance. This role requires a self-starter who is proactive, driven, and ready to take ownership of financial processes to drive results and support company growth. The Controller will play a key role in financial strategy, reporting, and process improvement, working closely with senior leadership to ensure financial stability and efficiency. Oversee and manage the company’s financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 2. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies. 3. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making. 4. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets. 5. Manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes. 6. Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners. 7. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. 8. Ensure compliance with all CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional) standards. 9. Review contracts to ensure financial terms align with company goals, assessing payment schedules, liabilities, and compliance with insurance and legal requirements. Work with legal counsel and leadership to negotiate terms and monitor projects for financial impact. 10. Maintain Insurance Compliance by ensuring all required business, liability, and workers' compensation insurance policies are current, compliant, and aligned with contract requirements. 11. Optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). Ability to Quickly Learn and Adapt to New Software and Technology - Stay current with financial and construction industry software, ensuring seamless integration and optimization. CCIFP certification required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior financial role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and project financial management. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
