The Human Resources (HR) Manager is a business partner to company leadership and is responsible for creating, implementing and executing the company’s HR strategy, key projects and initiatives. The HR Manager is responsible for effective execution of human resource functions, such as Recruitment and Candidate Selection, Employee Engagement, Reward and Recognition, Performance Management, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative and brings innovative solutions to the table, contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency Key Responsibilities: 1. Develops and implements talent acquisition strategies, with respect to recruitment, interviewing skills and candidate selection. Plans and executes tactical recruiting and outreach programs. Responsible for ensuring that all candidates are fully vetted as part of the selection process 2. Forecasts current and future talent needs for the company. Create and maintain a succession plan for company leadership 3. Manage and participate in employee on-boarding process and new hire orientation programs 4. Responsible for managing company training program to ensure business continuity across all positions. Identify, implement and document training programs for all positions. Responsible for maintaining all training and continuing education/certification records for the company 5. Addresses employee concerns in a timely manner, conducts investigations and facilitates problem resolution 6. Implements HR initiatives and programs in new ways to adapt to changing business needs. Seeks feedback and input from company leadership and employees on HR programs and initiatives 7. Responsible for creating and executing core annual programs, such as performance objectives and goal setting, performance evaluations, compensation planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, benefit assessment, annual enrollment, etc. 8. Support and recognize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are tracked throughout the organization. Derives insights from metrics, reports to business leaders and uses those insights to solve business problems and improve processes 9. Responsible for creating and implementing employee engagement, reward and recognition programs 10. Drives the strategy for performance management programs and supporting the retention of talent by addressing employee issues quickly and with well-designed initiatives. 11. Analyze trends as it relates to resignations, terminations and other culture issues to evaluate necessary areas of improvement. 12. Responsible for ensuring HR compliance, required thorough knowledge of HR policies, procedures and federal/state laws. Maintain up-to-date employee postings as required by state and federal laws/requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, or related professional experience Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws Knowledge of talent acquisition techniques, including recruitment, interviewing skills and candidate selection Understanding of compensation and benefit programs, employee relations practices and employee reward/recognition programs is essential Proven leadership, supervisory, project management and relationship building skills are essential Good analytical, math and problem-solving skills required Knowledge and experience in the construction industry preferred Additional Skills Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power-point, etc.) Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills Physical Demands / Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
