The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, demonstrating expertise in various mechanical systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to our commitment to excellent service delivery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs, including brake repair, shocks struts, and suspension systems. Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify components as necessary. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing repairs or moving equipment. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to diesel mechanics. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role, with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics. Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus. Proficiency in welding, fabricating, and soldering techniques is desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues alike.
