Job Description
Description Summary:
We are looking for a co-op in our Ceramics Equipment Engineering Department at our location in Simpsonville, SC.

Typical work activities
• Work as part of the Capital equipment project team to assist in design and development of needed capital equipment.
• Assist project engineer with obtaining equipment quotes, building relationships with vendors, issuing purchase requisitions and tracking all aspects of the project including expenditures, delivery dates and installation through production release.
• Work with our production team to ensure that the equipment is correctly specified and fits production needs.
• Develop training and operational instructions as needed for custom equipment.
• Report to the KEMET management team on project progress and roadblocks.
Requirements:
• Engineering curriculum background (ME, EE preferred)
• Coursework in Project Management, Autocad and/or Solidworks is a plus.
• Understanding of automated equipment and components such as: solenoid valves, sensors, motors, and other devices commonly used in automation projects is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
