GTL 2nd Shift Operations Leader
Job Description Summary
The 2nd Shift Operations Leader is a frontline people leader for the 2nd shift GE Vernova hourly team within the Greenville Technology Lab. Perform the daily operations of test facilities to ensure reliability and consistency in test build and execution. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily build plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department
• Drive performance metrics and track results for key business priorities as defined by your role i.e. safety, quality, materials management, fulfillment, productivity, and system compliance
• Create/update Standard Operating Procedures, Job Hazard Analysis, etc.
• Provide direction and support needs for assigned production associates which includes resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, and supporting test facility priorities.
• Monitor adherence to daily deliverables
• Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost while implementing a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality and safety
• Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues as they arise
• Support, encourage and facilitate core principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects
• Work to maintain and further develop a Visual Management including support for a 5S program, materials, and metric display
• Develop and support the growth of all employees
• Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
• Work with HR to develop a performance-oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted
• Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans to the organization
• Monitor performance to the plan and take pro-active action to solve problems and mitigate risk in meeting the plan. This includes the use of, and even creation of communications bulletins, announcements.
• Ensure compliance with business and quality standards
• Utilize modeling data and obtain collaborative feedback to perform optimization simulations and recovery scheduling
• Work cross-functionally with other GE Vernova organizations
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing/testing).
• 2 years minimum leadership experience
Eligibility Requirements
• Flexibility to work across both test facility planning and operations supervision responsibilities
• Must be able to work 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday)
• Ability and willingness to work the off-shift to ensure testing demands are communicated and met
• This role is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC test lab facility
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future

Pay Transparency
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 79,400.00 - 99,200.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5% annual performance incentive.
