The finance team is a dynamic group focused on maintaining, analyzing, and reporting financial data to support the manufacturing operations in Gray Court, SC. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in leading cost accounting efforts, driving financial performance analysis for product lines, and ensuring accurate cost planning and reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and sales, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. What you can look forward to as a Sr Financial Analyst
• Primary Analyst for measuring financial performance of individual product lines of the business
• Reviews and challenges cost analysis prepared by others for processes, products and equipment for manufacturing of automatic transmissions. Periodic analysis and reporting of operating results for product lines
• Development and Implementation of tools and methods for cost planning, cost analysis and controlling. Identification, Calculation and Planning of revenues and cost components of transmissions
• Validates the maintenance of cost planning data in SAP performed by others
• Monitoring the inputs and results of Profit Center reporting and Profitability Analysis of product lines
• Working with production departments to determine cost impact of changes to manufacturing processes. Working with Plant Controller and Sales department to monitor pricing assumptions
• Coordinates the controlling of cost improvement activities for the product line and plant as a whole
• Functional lead of the team in annual budgeting for operations and capital requirements
Your Profile as a Sr Financial Analyst
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Economics or in Engineering (MIE).
• 6+ years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS PowerPoint). Preferably experienced user of ERP systems (specifically SAP).
• Advanced project leading and problem-solving experience
• Functional leadership experience such as mentoring and guiding peers
• Extensive understanding of the full-financial picture. Preferred CPA or related certification.
• Preferably experienced user of PDM systems (e.g. Axalant)
