Position: Test Engineer
Pay Rate: $30.00 - 37.00 /hr
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Bradenton/Sarasota, FL
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Test Engineer to support their customer in the Sarasota, FL area. This person will be responsible for the quality and compliance of fire and gas detection products. In this role, you will review schematics and customer requirements, develop detailed testing procedures, and execute comprehensive validation and regression tests. You will analyze defective components, conduct failure analyses, and document all findings meticulously for review by leadership and team members.
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelors degree in any of the following electrical, electronics, software, or mechanical engineering/technology.
• 3+ years of experience working as a test engineer on electronic products.
• Experience using digital and analog testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Experience with MATLAB
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience programming test equipment in languages like (Python, C++, C, etc.)
• Knowledge of Test Sensors (Transducers, photo-voltaic cells, etc)
• Experience building RF test set-ups.
• Experience with LABVIEW
• Experience using JIRA
• Experience with Surface Mount Technology
• Experience with Product Design
