Market President
• This position will be leading the Sarasota to Port Charlotte market! There are 7 branches located within the market!
Purpose/Duties: The Market President is responsible for the strategic execution and oversight of retail branch banking, production, operations, and profitability within their assigned market. This role ensures the effective implementation of sales strategies, promotes a strong sales and service culture, and develops strategies that incorporate industry best practices and competitive analysis. The Market President manages multiple branches, focusing on sales, service, risk, and operational excellence while aligning with the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Result Areas:
• Leadership & Strategy: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of branch managers to ensure consistency in operations and member satisfaction across the market. Provide guidance on developing and executing sales and service strategies aligned with Achieva’s mission.
• Sales & Service Culture: Enforce a strong sales and service culture by coaching branch managers, promoting best practices, and driving performance to meet market goals. Ensure the Achieva Sales and Service Culture is adhered to by all staff. The goal of the Market President is to coach the coach in order to drive success for all team members. This would include observing the Branch Manager during coaching sessions and coach the Branch Manager to sales and service performance.
• Branch Operations: Oversee branch operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective systems are in place that meet both current and future needs. Ensure that all branches comply with risk management protocols and security procedures.
• Market Profitability: Conduct ongoing analysis of branch profitability and identify opportunities for market expansion. Regularly review branch scorecards and reports to assess performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
• Business Development: Develop and implement business development programs, including lead generation, external business calls, and relationship-building initiatives like COI’s and Bank at Work programs. Foster relationships with the community to drive membership, loan, and deposit growth.
• Branch Management: Visit branches regularly (at least twice per month), review branch operations, and ensure facilities are well-maintained to provide an optimal environment for both members and employees. Oversee audit results and ensure branches meet regulatory compliance.
• Staff Development: Coach branch managers and oversee the development of their teams, conducting regular skip-level meetings and managing performance evaluations to promote consistency across the market. Facilitate monthly branch manager and assistant manager meetings to align on goals and progress.
• Financial & Operational Oversight: Manage the annual administration of branch budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions that align with performance goals. Lead or champion department-level projects that improve branch performance and member satisfaction.
• Member & Employee Engagement: Ensure a high level of member satisfaction while fostering a positive, fulfilling work environment for employees. Address and resolve escalated member complaints in a timely and professional manner. Partner with credit union leadership to uphold Achieva as a top employer.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and employment law regulations, as well as Bank Secrecy Act and Privacy Act requirements. Promote diversity, inclusion, and ethical standards within the credit union.
The Market President plays a critical role in the growth and success of the assigned market area, ensuring that all branches operate efficiently, employees are well-supported, and members receive high-quality service.

Required Education:
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Experience:
• Minimum 5 years financial institution experience
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience
Required Skills:
• Microsoft Office products including Outlook and SmartSheet
• Common office equipment
• Windows based PC computer
• 10 Key calculator desired
• NMLS Licensing
• Ability to identify and solve problems that are somewhat complex requiring analysis of data and weighing the outcomes of decisions
