Description
Are you a results-driven financial professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for leadership? An exciting opportunity awaits with our client, who is seeking a Controller to oversee and optimize their accounting and financial operations. As a Controller, you'll play a critical role in driving financial accuracy, compliance, and process improvement—all while providing meaningful insights to help guide business decisions.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage all general ledger activities
• Take charge of month-end closing processes
• Ensure accurate financial reporting
• Manage accounting functions efficiently
• Utilize accounting software systems effectively
• Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness
• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Coordinating and preparing financial statements
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Requirements
• Possess strong skills in Month End Close procedures
• Ability to prepare and present Financial Reports with accuracy and timeliness
• Experience in managing financial consolidations is essential
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, advanced degree preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Proficiency in using financial software and databases
• Must have a good understanding of accounting standards and regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
