About the Role: Family Service Advisor - Venice Memorial Gardens
We’re seeking a compassionate and results-driven Family Service Advisor for Venice Memorial Gardens, in Venice, FL. In this role, you will play a key part in guiding families through both at-need and preneed services, offering funeral and cemetery services, property, and merchandise, while meeting the sales goals established by management.
What You’ll Do:
• Sell pre-arranged funeral contracts, cemetery property, and related merchandise, ensuring alignment with company sales objectives and procedures.
• Assist families with pre-need services, including cash and installment sales, and ensure proper funding mechanisms for prearranged plans.
• Complete contracts and documents in accordance with company policies to ensure seamless customer service.
• Actively develop personal sales leads through networking, telephone outreach, follow-up with families, and group marketing activities such as direct mail and events.
• Conduct home presentations and set appointments to discuss prearrangement options with prospective clients.
• Attend visitations, funerals, and interment services to provide additional support and strengthen relationships with families.
• Participate in sales meetings, group activities, and training sessions as directed to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
• Maintain thorough records of personal sales activity and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with sales management to address any deviations from company policies or procedures, including pricing, contract terms, and credit issues.
What We’re Looking For:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; formal business training is a plus.
• Previous experience in commissioned sales is strongly preferred.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license with a clear driving record is a must.
• Must be able to travel independently and attend off-site appointments as needed.
