Strategic Sourcing Manager - Supply Chain
Position: Sourcing Manager (Supply Chain Management)
Location: Greer, South Carolina, or other locations with 30%-50% travel requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
• Conduct market research and gather industry intelligence on the global air conditioning components supply market.
• Source suppliers for critical components, materials, and services, etc. globally, evaluate supplier qualifications, conduct factory audits, and facilitate the sample approval and supplier admission processes.
• Analyze supplier costs, negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to optimize pricing, terms, and conditions, and manage risk control.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement supply chain optimization strategies in order to provide higher procurement revenue through cost savings. Ensure reasonable procurement prices while providing cost-effective solutions to the R&D department.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and implement supplier diversity programs.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions and shortages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality, finance) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Other assigned tasks. Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Refrigeration, or mechanical design is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or technology industry.
• Have experience in data center air conditioning or central air conditioning procurement while global procurement experience in other industries with high relevance will also be considered.
• Procurement experience in steel, copper pipe, joint processing, standard fasteners or sheet metal related is preferred.
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to collect and analyze industry intelligence and generate market research report independently.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of the differences and price comparisons of FOB, FCA, and EXW quotations.
• To understand local transportation costs in the United States well and be familiar with US customs declaration and import policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, e.g. relationship ice-breaking, contract negotiation, and stress management etc.
• To have global perspective with a broader mindset and agile thinking.
• Be integrative with a proactive attitude and good personal credit.
• Good learning agility, Self-driven, engaged, willing to take challenges.
• Work under pressure, working actively and full of passion and sense of responsibility.
• Dynamic and entrepreneurial attitude with desire to learn and expand knowledge and capability.
• Work well in global and multi-culture environment is preferred.
