Employment Type:Part timeShift:Description:This is a PRN, as needed position, with varying days/shifts, including some weekend work.Position Summary:  Under the direction of the supervisor, the transporter is responsible for transportation of patients throughout the hospital.  Additionally, he/she delivers objects to patient care areas and ensures that transport equipment is properly maintained.  Transport staff will assist Public Safety in patient restraints and standbys.Education:  A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent or must obtain/complete within 6 months of hire.Experience:  Hospital or related experience preferred but not required.  On the job training provided. Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 0800-2000Special Qualifications:  Must be familiar with equipment used in lifting and transporting patients.   Must be familiar with personnel policies within the hospital and the department.  Must have knowledge of hospital layout and facilities.  Must receive training in dealing with mental patients.  BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment.  Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
