Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs for all heavy civil construction projects.
• Conduct on-site safety training, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Serve as a mentor and trainer for field personnel, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
• Investigate and document incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure all employees receive proper safety training and certifications for heavy equipment, confined spaces, and hazardous environments.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
• 7+ years of safety management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven expertise in on-site safety training, inspections, and OSHA compliance.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
• Ability to train and communicate safety procedures effectively across all levels of a construction team.
• OSHA 30 or higher certification required; CSP, CHST, or other safety certifications preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
