Are you excited about this Chief Financial Officer Role? The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler plays a pivotal role in both operational and programmatic aspects of the organization. This leadership position directly supervises the Controller and the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis, ensuring financial accuracy and strategic insight. Additionally, the CFO oversees all departments within the Business Services Division, including Accounting, IT, Maintenance, and Transportation. Acting as the chief financial spokesperson, you will represent the organization both internally and externally, fostering transparency and trust. This role is essential for driving our mission forward and enhancing our commitment to service excellence in the nonprofit sector.
What you need to be successful To excel as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CPA certification preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of financial and management experience is essential for overseeing daily financial operations. Familiarity with current trends, developments, laws, and issues within the New York State long-term care industry will be beneficial in navigating complex challenges.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is also required, enabling seamless data management and reporting. The right candidate will demonstrate a blend of technical expertise and dynamic leadership to drive our financial strategy forward.
