Jacaranda Trace - Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary
The Environmental Services Supervisor has the responsibility to manage and oversee the operations of housekeeping, porter, and laundry services in accordance with the community’s values, policies and procedures and current regulations to ensure that cleanliness and sanitation are maintained at all times. The Environmental Services Supervisor respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues, and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.
Essential Functions

• Supervises and manages the staff and operations of Environmental Services team.
• Establishes work procedures for staff and works with appropriate staff to plan all work schedules to ensure adequate service to all areas on campus.
• Meets with other members of the Leadership and Executive teams to coordinate activities involving Environmental Services staff.
• Standardizes the method in which work assignments will be accomplished.
• Maintains sufficient levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and linens.
• Ensures accurate inventory records are maintained.
• Ensures department is within budget.
• Conducts staff meetings and in-service trainings for Environmental Services staff.
• Completes annual employee performance evaluations.
• Conducts regular inspections of common areas, laundry, work stations, etc.
• Works safely and complies with all community safety protocol and standards.
• Establishes and maintains protocols within the licensed areas that meet State and Federal regulations.
• Attends and participates in in-service trainings and serves on various in-house committees
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

• Ability to read and write, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
• Thinking critically; defined as reading, understanding and taking appropriate action on detailed and complex information
• Standing long periods of time
• Walking long distances daily
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Repetitive actions/motion of one or both hands
• Hearing ordinary conversation and office sounds
• Verbal communication in person and on the phone
Written communication by hand and on PC.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two or more years of management experience
• Strong knowledge of sanitation concepts
• Computer literacy which includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft Office suite
