Job Responsibilities
WORKS UNDER LIMITED SUPERVISION OF THE DIVISION DIRECTOR TO ANALYZE, TROUBLESHOOT & OVERSEE THE DEVELOPMENT, MAINTENANCE & IMPLEMENTATION OF SC VITAL RECORDS IMAGING SYSTEM; PREPARES OR ASSISTS WITH THE PREPARATION OF SYSTEMS DOCUMENTATION & OVERSEE ALL SCANNING & INDEXING OPERATIONS & ASSOCIATED STAFF (PERMANENT AND/OR TEMP). COORDINATES SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT WITH INTERAL/EXTERNAL DEVELOPERS. WORKS WITH PHSIS & IS STAFF TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS; SUPERVISE ALL HARDWARE ASPECTS OF THE IMAGING SYSTEM INCLUDING WORKSTATIONS, SCANNERS, INDEXING & IMAGE SERVERS AND/OR FINAL BACKEND STORAGE DEVICE. ENSURE ALL IMAGES ARE SECURED & BACKED UP.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
PROGRAM AREA SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: A BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE/ENGINEERING, MIS, OR SIMILAR DISCIPLINE; OR FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE IN SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT & ADMINISTRATION; SQL SERVER EXPERIENCE (2 YEARS); MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE MANAGING STAFF; EXPERIENCE WITH SERVER ADMINISTRATION, EXPERIENCE WITH BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS, DESIGN, FLOW & REDESIGN. EXPERIENCE WITH INSTALLING & CONFIGURING SCANNERS AND/OR OTHER DESKTOP PERIPHERALS; EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH DESKTOP APPLICATION TO DATABASE CONNECTIVITY; NETWORK & SERVER ADMIN. EXPERIENCE (USER ADMINISTRATION, SECURITY, WAN/LAN, ETC.); EXPERIENCE WITH WINDOWS SERVERS & WORKSTATIONS CONFIGURATION & MAINTENANCE; ABILITY TO WORK CLOSELY WITH INTERNAL & EXTERNAL TECHNICAL & NON-TECHNICAL STAFF. DETAIL-ORIENTED & EXPERIENCE WITH WRITING & MAINTAINING SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION.
Preferred Qualifications
IMAGING SYSTEM & .NET PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE WOULD BE A PLUS, ALONG WITH EXTENSIVE STAFF & CONSULTANT SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE. KNOWLEDGE OF VITAL RECORDS ISSUES & SECURITY REQUIREMENTS IS DESIRABLE.
