The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives, and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building, and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.
Office of Parent Giving
The office of Parent Giving is focused on identifying and securing principal, major and annual leadership gifts from parents. The parent giving coordinator component of the office focuses on the event planning, communications and donation tracking necessary to support parent giving at UGA . This position will focus specifically on event planning and implementation and communication materials that support parent council donations and overall parent giving.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience communicating with donors and managing verbal and written communication with constituents
• University or event planning experience preferred
• Ability to plan and execute events
• Experience planning, coordinating, and/or leading multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional experience related to sales, marketing, development, business administration, higher education, project management, or relationship management
• Familiarity of non-profit work and grant intake experience
Position Summary
This position is based in the Parent Giving unit of the Development & Alumni Relations Division ( DAR ) and reports to the Associate Director. Its purpose serves to promote and enhance front-line development through development event coordination, development communications, donor stewardship, programs, or department special projects. This position will independently manage and coordinate various special projects and events.
The ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people to establish a track record in building meaningful relationships coupled with the ability to inspire others are critical components of the position.

• Lead and implement logistics of two annual Parent Weekends & other special Parent events including parent dinners, summer welcome events, and other needs within Parent Giving
