A UNIQUE opportunity to make a difference on project delivery on a wide variety of civil and environment engineering projects for a growing engineering and utility management consulting firm.
The successful candidate will work directly with the President of Veith Engineering & Business Solutions to help the firm’s project delivery efforts and support in key technical, client and firm growth initiatives.
Our growing Sarasota office has professional engineer opening for a bachelor’s or master’s degree graduate in civil or environmental engineering . The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects and collaborate directly with the firm’s president and mentor / collaborate with project engineers, CADD designers, and project delivery support staff.

We provide a full range of professional services including feasibility and pilot studies, master plans, modeling, asset management, decision support tools, Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as design, engineered drawings, permitting assistance, public presentations, stakeholder engagement, bid phase support, CEI, and design-build.
The firm's projects are considered "leading" edge such as for "OneWater", integrated water resource management, wastewater / potable water / reclaimed water / indirect potable reuse / stormwater, asset management / CMOM / business consulting / "Smart Utility", collaborative project delivery, Infiltration & Inflow (I&I) and Low Impact Development (LIDs) sustainable and site design development.
Our growing Sarasota / Bradenton / Tampa operations has a unique opportunity for an ambitious and innovative Professional Engineer (PE). This new strategic role will report directly to our firm’s President and will play a role in the firm’s engineering project delivery, technical leadership and task management, and mentor project engineers, designers/technicians, and engineering interns.
The firm's client and project backlog are strong, and our current and anticipated projects are considered "leading" edge. This position also entails collaborating on all facets of our business such as engineering design and project execution, task management, business development, and client interface. The candidate should be well-organized, technically sound in civil/environmental engineering, and a leader able to work in both a collaborative team setting as well as independently.
OVERVIEW of RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Serve as professional engineer in technical leader, task manager, and lead project engineer for feasibility and piloting studies, reports, GIS, modeling, engineering calculations and designs, CADD 3-D, construction drawings, technical specifications, permit applications, bid phase support, and CEI services.
• Assist with preparing presentations, review or preparation of scopes of services, fee budgets, and client/subcontractor contracts.
• Coordinate with other VEBS team members, teaming partners, subconsultants, and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
+ Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
+ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain in 4 months
+ Minimum of Five (5) years of engineering experience.
+ Strong technical skills
+ Proficient in full Microsoft Office 365 software suite
+ CADD and GIS experience preferred.
+ Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
